Inter’s attacking stats from Serie A do not match up so well with their ranking in the Champions League group stages, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport, Inter have had more shots on target than any other team in Serie A with 100. The only team to have had more shots all together in Serie A is AS Roma who have just five more.

They have scored more goals than anyone else with 39, meaning that 39% of their shots on target result in a goal.

In the Champions League group stage, Simone Inzaghi’s side have had more shots than anyone else but they are not as accurate as in Serie A. Out of 117 shots, just 37 have hit that target.

That is one less than Bayern Munich, four less than Manchester City, five less than Real Madrid and Ajax and eight less than Liverpool.
