Inter will meet with Ivan Perisic about a contract renewal in January, with the 32-year-old open to staying on at the club past next summer.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the Nerazzurri will hold talks regarding an extension for the wing-back early next year.

Perisic’s current deal is set to expire at the end of June 2022, but his performances this season have convinced the club to try and find an agreement with him on an extension.

So far there is still some distance between the parties, with the club not ready to offer the same wages which the Croat currently earns.

However, the player is reported to be very open to the idea of staying at the Giuseppe Meazza, and will meet with the club early next year to see whether and agreement can be found which would see him stay on next season.
