Inter Vice President Javier Zanetti finds his current role with the Nerazzurri to be a lot of responsibility to keep up with.

Speaking in an Instagram Q&A, as reported by FCInter1908, the Argentine explained what his role as Vice President entailed and noted that he is responsible for a number of different aspects of running the club.

Few players have built the kind of reputation that Zanetti did at Inter, with the Argentine having captained the club for many seasons and made over nine hundred appearances in a Nerazzurri shirt across all competitions.

His legacy at Inter has not stopped after he hung up his boots, however, as he has transitioned to a directorial role, taking over in the role of Vice President in 2014.

In this role, Zanetti has had a big part to play under the past two owners and as he explained, there is a significant amount and variety of work for him in the position.

“I am happy with the present and being a director,” he stated, “it is a great responsibility to be Vice President of a clubs like Inter.”

“There is not only a sporting part, we also need a broad vision,” he clarified. “I still have a lot to study and there are many things to learn.”

Zanetti explained that “I am very happy about this journey we are on, I still have a lot to do. Without sacrifices, however, nothing is achieved.”
