Cagliari’s midfield has been badly affected by injuries ahead of the clash with Inter at San Siro on Sunday evening, according to a report in the Italian media.
As has been reported by FCInternews, the Sardinian side will be without key player Nahitan Nandez as he is suffering from a thigh injury that has not healed as quickly as expected.
They will also be without young midfielder Riccardo Ladinetti through injury which means they are down to bare bones in the centre of midfield.
This is a major issue for Walter Mazzarri as he is coming up against one of the best midfield’s in Europe that features Marcelo Brozovic, Nicolo Barella, and likely Hakan Calhanoglu who is in fine form.
Cagliari are thought to be focusing entirely on their tactical set up for the match as they know that they must be patient and absorb pressure against this Inter side that creates many chances.
