Inter executives and Federico Dimarco have found an agreement in a contract extension for the Italian left back, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, a meeting this week between Inter sporting CEO Beppe Marotta, sporting director Piero Ausilio, and the agent of Federico Dimarco, Giuseppe Riso led to an acceleration in negotiations.

Now one more meeting has been scheduled to completely finalise the deal which will likely see the player remain at Inter until at least 2026.

There was briefly some distance between the two parties when it comes to the new salary of the player but that has been roughly closed thanks to the recent meeting.

Federico Dimarco currently earns €600,000 a year at Inter which meant he was one of the lowest earners, but now he will be placed among the average earners in the current squad.
