Inter have been linked with a move for Everton defender Lucas Digne after the Frenchman had an argument with head coach Rafa Benitez over his role at the club, according to a report in the English media today.

As has been reported by The Athletic in the United Kingdom today, Lucas Digne has been unhappy with the defensive nature of his role on the left at Everton under Rafa Benitez this season and that has led to a bust-up with the Spanish boss.

He is now featuring more heavily on the bench for The Toffees and that has alerted both Juventus and Inter to his availability in January.

It is not clear that Lucas Digne would fit in Inter’s squad this season but he could be a replacement for Ivan Perisic should the Croatian leave at the end of the year, which is very possible as his age demands are high.
