Inter would need to sell Lautaro Martinez in order to make room for Sassuolo’s Giacomo Raspadori which is unlikely to happen, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported today by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Giacomo Raspadori has seen his profile change this season into more of an attacking midfielder or a second striker as Gianluca Scamacca is the main striker.

That means that he is a very similar player to Lautaro Martinez who has just signed a lucrative new deal at the Nerazzurri last month.

Therefore, Inter are pivoting away from the young Italian towards targets who can be a future replacement for Edin Dzeko, such as fellow Sassuolo youngster Gianluca Scamacca.

Inter have long been linked with Giacomo Raspadori but the operation appears to now be on standby as signing him would not address a particular issue within the current Inter playing squad.
