Inter duo Andrea Ranocchia and Matteo Darmian are set to make their returns from injury against Salernitana on Friday but they will not be risked against Cagliari.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that both players are close to being fully fit but that coach Simone Inzaghi will not see a reason to risk them in tomorrow’s Serie A clash.

Both Ranocchia and Darmian have missed a few matches with thigh injuries, but in both cases their recoveries appear to be on track with both having done custom work on the training pitch yesterday.

However, the aim will be to have them in the squad for the trip to Salerno rather than tomorrow when the team host the Rossoblu.

Denzel Dumfries will continue to be trusted in place of Darmian on the right for tomorrow’s match, while in the centre of defense Stefan de Vrij is fully fit and expected to make his return to the starting eleven.
