Inter are aiming to secure the signing of Andre Onana next summer on a free transfer as soon as possible with a number of other clubs also interested in signing him.

This according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, who report that the Nerazzurri are hoping to formally wrap up their agreement with the Cameroonian amid looming interest from Barcelona and Napoli among other clubs.

Onana has been widely reported as the Nerazzurri’s main option to replace captain Samir Handanovic in the long term.

The 25-year-old’s current deal with the Dutch champions is set to run out at the end of June 2022 and with no agreement on a renewal he is widely expected to leave for free, with the Nerazzurri reportedly having an agreement in principle to sign him next summer.

However, the likes of Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Villarreal, Napoli, and Nice are all also contemplating a move for the keeper, and Inter are determined to get his signing formally concluded to ensure that they are not beaten to his signing.
