Inter forward Alexis Sanchez is set to start for the Nerazzurri in this evening’s Serie A clash with Cagliari.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Chilean will be handed the start against the Rossoblu and an opportunity to prove himself in an Inter shirt.

Sanchez has had his playing time limited by injuries this season and also not been a first-choice attacking option when he has been fit.

So far, the Chilean has made only one start in Serie A, against Empoli in October.

However, since a social media outburst after he was not used during a Serie A match against Sassuolo at the beginning of October the forward has made a total of nine appearances, assisting two goal in the process.

The 32-year-old could still have a place at Inter, and will have the chance to prove himself as Inter host Cagliari later this evening.
