Inter are not likely to resume their summer pursuit of Manchester United forward Anthony Martial in January due to the size of his wages.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri will not likely be in the race to sign the 26-year-old who is reported to be on his way out at his club in January.

Martial had been among the players who Inter were reportedly considering during the summer transfer window, when they were looking to strengthen their attacking options following the sale of Romelu Lukaku.

The Frenchman looks to be leaving Old Trafford next month after comments by his agent suggested that he is not happy with his lack of playing time and wants a move away.

The Nerazzurri have been among the teams who have been linked with Martial, but they are almost certain to be put off by his high wages and will accordingly not try to sign him.
