Inter President Steven Zhang is not likely to be able to make a trip to Italy from China to watch Inter’s Supercoppa Italiana clash with Juventus in January.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who report that the President would like to be at the fixture against the Bianconeri on January 12 but that leaving China is likely to be difficult due to anti-COVID regulations.

Zhang has not been in Italy to watch Inter or to meet with club directors for some time, with the travel restrictions imposed by the Chinese government to curb the spread of COVID making the trip difficult.

Zhang would have to quarantine for a month upon returning to China from any trip abroad, making such a visit difficult to schedule.

The President will still visit Italy at some point in the near future, but it is unlikely be in time to be in attendance for the Supercoppa clash with Juventus in January.
