Inter wing back Denzel Dumfries is starting to show his qualities in an Inter shirt after a tough few months at the club, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport today, the Dutch winger arrived at Inter towards the end of the summer with the tag of ‘the next Achraf Hakimi’ on his back.

That meant many were disappointed when for a few months he struggled to hold down a place in the team as he was still settling into a new country having not had a pre-season.

He has also had to quickly get to grips with the Italian language. His reputation was not helped when he gave away the penalty that led to a 1-1 draw with Juventus late in the game.

Since Matteo Darmian’s injury though, Denzel Dumfries has put together a run of good performances in the Inter team and now looks like the player many were excited for.
