Suning are continuing with their efforts to build Inter into an elite force in Italy and Europe again despite the effects of the pandemic, according to a report in the Italian print media.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, Steven Zhang has still not been able to watch Simone Inzaghi’s Inter at San Siro yet this season but he watches from afar, the companies headquarters in Nanjing, China.

There is no intention to give up on the club anytime soon and the fact that Inter is now top of the table and looking strong has merely enthused Suning’s interest in the project.

In a meeting before the season began it was suggested by Steven Zhang that fourth place and Champions League qualification was the aim for the season.

That appears to have changed given Simone Inzaghi has managed his squad so well and the Nerazzurri will likely be winter champions.
