Torino president Urbano Cairo has put an end to any speculation that Inter may sign Bremer from the Granata in the January transfer window, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking on the sidelines of the Lega Serie A Assembly, via Calciomercato, the Torino president explained that he has never had any intention of selling the Brazilian defender during the January transfer window. A summer departure is much more likely.

“Absolutely not, for the moment I have not spoken to anyone. Bremer is one of our players, I never thought of selling him in January. He will stay with us for this season, then we will see.”

Both Inter and AC Milan have been heavily linked with Bremer as both would like to add more cover in that area of the pitch.

Inter will be facing Torino next week which will be their final match before the Christmas break. The Nerazzurri will be hoping that having played Salernitana and Torino, they will still be top of the table by the time the fixtures pick up again in January.

Torino will be at home against Hellas Verona this weekend.
