Inter are closely monitoring the contract situation that Lorenzo Insigne is in at Napoli as the Nerazzurri plot a move, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, the Neopolitan forward has still not found an agreement with Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis for the extension of his contract that will run out in June 2022.

The player would like to be paid €4.5 million per season but the Azzurri are so far only willing to offer €3.5 million as well as some bonuses.

There is always a chance that a resolution will be found as the player loves the club, but Inter are keeping a close eye on proceedings ahead of a possible move on a free transfer.

Inter are not the only option for Lorenzo Insigne, there is also Toronto in the MLS and Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.
