Inter winger Ivan Perisic has said that Inter must continue this great run of forming after beating Salernitana 5-0 on Friday night, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.
Speaking after the match in Salerno to Sky Sport via FCInternews, the Croatian winger explained that Inter need to carry on the same form they showed against Salernitana and continue their winning run.
“We have done well, as we have been doing for a few weeks. We just have to continue like this, we are on the right path.
“Upfront we are dangerous, and behind, after the first two months, we have found balance. We are really doing well.”
Ivan Perisic also said that the turning point for Inter’s season was the victory over Napoli which got them right back into the Serie A title race.
“That match against Napoli was very difficult, it came after the break and we were seven points behind. It gave us a good boost.”
When asked how he feels about the team’s performance, Ivan Perisic said that it is easy to play well when the rest of the team are performing like they are right now.
“When the team plays like this, it’s not difficult. I have to continue like everyone else, it’s still a long way to go.”
Inter comfortably beat bottom of the table Salernitana thanks to goals from Ivan Perisic, Denzel Dumfries, Alexis Sanchez, Lautaro Martinez, and Roberto Gagliardini. The Nerazzurri have now won six Serie A games in a row.
