The agent of ex-Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen has expressed his sadness at the player not being able to continue his relationship with the Inter fans, according to a report in the English media.

Speaking during an interview with The Daily Mail in England, Martin Schoots explained that Christian Eriksen was loved by the Inter fans and it is a pity that he can no longer play for the club. Despite that, it is a positive that he can still play football

“So it’s a pity especially since Chris is so immensely loved by the fans. But on the other hand it’s also positive because Chris now can look at the future with another perspective.”

Speaking more broadly about the midfielder’s condition, Martin Schoots said that he is doing well and that he is dreaming of being able to play again.

“Things look good. And he is feeling good. All physical results are positive. Christian has his dreams. He has been training himself for months and things are going very well.

“It was clear that we would work towards this solution for a long time. Italy is simply the only country where as a rule you can’t play with an ICD.”

The Danish midfielder suffered a cardiac arrest whilst playing for Denmark at EURO 2020 in the summer and that is why he now has a defibrillator fitted to regulate his heartbeat.

That is why his contract with Inter was terminated by mutual consent today and he will look for a new club.
