Inter boss Simone Inzaghi has revealed that he will be watching the match between title rivals AC Milan and Napoli in his home on Sunday night, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking in his post match press conference as was reported by FCInternews, Simone Inzaghi explained that he will be staying at home to watch the big match of the weekend between two teams that he clearly has a lot of admiration for.

“I will look at it tomorrow, they are two excellent teams that will face each other and I will enjoy it. I have to be honest, I watch other people’s games because I like football, but I don’t make any predictions, I’ll be watching at home because it’s the best thing.”

Inter have now won six Serie A matches on the bounce having just beaten Salernitana 5-0 in Salerno. Simone Inzaghi feels that the team have been playing good football all season but the Champions League games got in the way of results.

“I think the team has not broken down, in my opinion we played excellent football from the start, then obviously thanks to the Champions League we lost a few points and drew a few too many games, continuing to work in the right way. We knew that the opponents could lose a few points and we worked in the best way.

“The staff made an excellent team available to us, now we have to finish the first round in the best possible way knowing that the matches will be difficult and the pitfalls will be many.”

Simone Inzaghi was clearly surprised by the number of spectators and the intimidating atmosphere that they created in Salerno on Friday night.

“Honestly, It was a  full stadium, I was expecting fewer people and instead it was very hostile. Certainly there is not a good situation in the standings, but the ranking behind is short and the team can recover.”
