Inter have already begun seeking compensation for the lost value on Christian Eriksen’s contract now that they have terminated the midfielder’s contract by mutual consent.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri have applied for insurance payments on the 29-year-old’s contract.
Eriksen is no longer an Inter player, with the club and the midfielder having formalized an agreement yesterday to current his deal, which had taken him until the end of June 2024, now that he definitely will not be able to return to the pitch for the club.
The club will report this termination of his contract as a capital loss for the year given that he has gone away without any money coming in.
However, the Nerazzurri have already started the process of applying for insurance payments that will make up for the loss of income from his departure without a fee coming in.
