Inter midfielders Marcelo Brozovic and Hakan Calhanoglu once again proved themselves to be two of the Nerazzurri’s most influential player’s in yesterday evening’s 5-0 win over Salernitana.

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who hail the pair’s contribution to controlling the game in midfield.

Brozovic’s form has been outstanding for virtually the entire season, with the Croat yet to not start a Serie A fixture and a ubiquitous presence setting the tempo for his team.

Calhanoglu, meanwhile, has begun to find some of his best form over the past number of weeks, and kept it up in the 5-0 win in Salerno.

The Turk perfectly complemented the metronomic influence of Brozovic by popping up in space all over the pitch, acting as a creative attacking midfielder when it was called for but also working doggedly to make up the numbers wherever he was necessary.

The duo have become vitally important to this Inter for how they make themselves available to combine with teammates across ninety minutes, and for how reliable they are in all phases of play.
