Inter striker Lautaro Martinez has fleshed out his place in the Nerazzurri history books with his goal against Salernitana yesterday evening.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who note that the Argentine drew level with Ronaldo in the all-time scoring charts at the club with Ronaldo by scoring his sixtieth goal for the club yesterday.

Martinez had started the season well in front of goal before suffering a barren spell during the month of October.

Since the return from the November international break, however, the Argentine has looked as prolific as ever and found the back of the net in the fifth game running with his strike on target against Salernitana.

This in itself takes him level with fellow Argentine Mauro Icardi’s record of five consecutive games with a goal, achieved in November 2018.

Perhaps more pertinently, however, the 24-year-old has already reached a major milestone by drawing level with the great Brazilian striker Ronaldo, another landmark hit along his path to a place in Nerazzurri history.
