Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi is ready to get his team in shape for a gruelling January fixture schedule, with six matches scheduled in 17 days.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who note that the Nerazzurri have one match more to play than their main Scudetto rivals in the form of the Supercoppa Italiana clash with Juventus.

Inter have one more match to go in 2021 before their Christmas break begins, and then they will return from the break with a Serie A match against Bologna on January 6.

However, that clash with Bologna kicks of a sequence of six matches which will end on January 22 when they host Venezia, and includes clashes with Juventus, Atalanta, Lazio, and Empoli in between.

This run of games will present a major test of Inter’s fitness levels, and Inzaghi is preparing to focus on training the entire squad to get the best out of everyone across a pivotal and exhausting couple of weeks in the team’s season.
