Inter-linked River Plate striker Julian Alvarez is not yet sure of whether or when he will join a top European club, but he is certain that he will know what is right for him.

Speaking to the press, as reported by FCInterNews, the Argentine emphasized that he is still some way from making any decisions about the future of his career.

Alvarez has marked himself out as a target for a number of European clubs with his form for River this season, and the Nerazzurri are chief among the teams pursuing his signature.

The young striker has found the back of the net at a rate of almost a goal per game for the Argentine giants, and given his age and contract situations many clubs will see him as a potential next star of European football.

However, there are factors for the player to consider including showing form in advance of next year’s World Cup, and he is not going to make any decisions hastily or prematurely.

“Frankly, I don’t know what will happen, now I’m only thinking about celebrating,” he stated. “In January we’ll see.”

“We all know how much the World Cup means for a player,” he added regarding the possibility that a January move to Europe could jeopardize his chances with the national team. “When I make my decision I’ll choose what’s best for me.”
