This season Italian teams have brought in significant revenues through partnerships with cryptocurrency companies, and Inter have been among the teams to capitalize the most.

This according to today’s print edition of Italian newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore, who report that the Nerazzurri’s €85 million worth of partnerships with cryptocurrency companies leads the way in Serie A.

This season, teams in Serie A have brought in over a €180 million worth of revenues through sponsorship deals with cryptocurrency companies, and this number rises to in excess of €250 million when all partnerships are considered.

The Nerazzurri were one of the most prominent examples of this trend over the summer, with blockchain fan token company taking the place of Pirelli as the team’s main shirt sponsor.

Inter’s partnership with Socios.com for the 2021-22 season is worth €16 million, but this rises to €20 million including add-ons.

Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri have also taken on DigitalBits, a cryptocurrency developed by Zytara, as a sleeve sponsor for €5 million per season, meaning that the total value of cryptocurrency sponsorships over the next four years for Inter will be at least €85 million.
