Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella’s suspension for Wednesday’s Serie A clash with Torino has been confirmed by the Sporting Justice in Italy.

This is reported by FCInterNews, who also note that Hakan Calhanoglu is now one booking away from a suspension following his yellow card against Salernitana.

Barella had gone into Friday’s Serie A clash in Salerno knowing that he would be suspended for one match were he to pick up a yellow card, and the 24-year-old went into the book during the first half for a bad tackle.

As expected, the one-match suspension has been upheld for the midfielder, and he will be unavailable for Wednesday’s Serie A clash with Torino.

Meanwhile, Calhanoglu also went into the book during the clash with newly-promoted Salernitana, his fourth booking of the campaign, meaning that the 27-year-old will also face a one-match suspension the next time he picks up a booking in Serie A.
