Napoli defender Juan Jesus feels that he was not intimidated at the San Siro in the Partenopei’s away win over AC Milan yesterday partly because he has experience in the stadium with Inter.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster DAZN after the match, the Brazilian reflected on his time at Inter and the time he has spent in Serie A overall.

Jesus spent four and a half seasons with Inter between 2012 and 2016 and then joined Roma in the summer of 2016.

The defender left the Giallorossi this summer to link up with coach Luciano Spalletti at Napoli, and he was called into action yesterday evening to take the place of the injured Kalidou Koulibalu in central defense.

The Brazilian’s performance helped the Partenopei to a clean sheet and three points in a match with major Scudetto implications, and he partly credits his experience in the San Siro for his composed display.

“I’ve been in Italy for ten years,” he stated. “I’ve played for Inter and Roma, now I’m proud to be at Napoli.”

Jesus added that “I’ve been a professional for every team. I know this stadium well, I was calm tonight, we were well prepared for this match.”
