Inter-linked Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez could be on his way out at his current club in January.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the situation at the Rossoblu could push the 25-year-old out the door amid links to the Nerazzurri in next month’s transfer window.

Nandez had been linked with a move to Inter in the summer and wanted to make the switch, but the Nerazzurri were unable to agree terms on a deal with his club.

The Uruguayan has remained with the Sardinian club for the first half of the season and has played regularly, but the situation with the team has become increasingly unstable as they have gotten stuck in the relegation places.

Nandez’s national teammates Diego Godin and Martin Caceres are linked with exits in the January transfer windows, and he could follow them.

The Nerazzurri could see midfielder Matias Vecino leave during the transfer window, and should he depart Nandez is reportedly their main target to replace him.

Given the situation at Cagliari, they could look to swoop for him and this time secure his signing, with the player potentially pressuring the club allowing him to leave given his situation.
