Inter are still a long way from agreeing a new deal with wing-back Ivan Perisic, whose current contract expires next summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that there remains significant distance between the player’s demands and what the Nerazzurri are ready to offer.

Perisic’s current contract is set to run out at the end of June 2022, but the club are hoping that they can keep him on past this time.

However, the player is holding firm on his request for a three-year deal worth a net of €6 million per season before he is willing to stay on.

Meanwhile, the club are only ready to offer the 32-year-old a two-year deal, and have not gone any higher than €3.5 million net per season with their offer, according to the report.

It remains to be seen if Perisic and the club can find an agreement or if the distance will prove to be too much.
