Inter are not worried about the capital gains irregularities investigation that has been opened into them by Italian authorities.

This according to Italian news service ANSA, as reported by FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri are calm and do not feel that the investigation will cause any problems for them.

Thus far, the investigation has only involved the acquisition of documents, specifically financial statements related to transfers made during the 2017-18 and 2018-19 season.

The club feel that none of the documents contain any incriminating information and that all of the transfers pertained to in them are completely legitimate and correctly accounted for.

One transfer being looked into is the sale of Nicolo Zaniolo to Roma, a deal worth €4 million which was part of the operation which saw Radja Nainggolan go the other way.

In this instance in particular, the Nerazzurri feel that it is clear that the transfer did not involve the club inflating the player’s value in their accounting given that he is now worth far more than when he was sold.

Overall, the club believe that all of the transfers which the documents collected contain relevant information to are similarly normal and lawful transfers.
