Inter striker Lautaro Martinez has managed a superior goals-per-minute ration at Inter so far this season than Romelu Lukaku had in either of his campaigns with the Nerazzurri.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who highlight the Argentine’s strike rate compared to his departed striker partner’s from the past two seasons.

So far this season, Martinez has found the back of the net eleven times in Serie A from a total of just over a thousand minutes played, meaning he averages a goal every 91 minutes.

This is better than the rate of a goal every 110 minutes that Lukaku managed in his first season at Inter and 96 minutes as per his last campaign.

Martinez appears to be doing well making up for the Belgian’s absence from the team in terms of goalscoring.

Meanwhile, Edin Dzeko’s scorting rate for the season is one goal every 143 minutes, while for Joaquin Correa it stands at a goal every 126 minutes and for Alexis Sanchez, once every 181 minutes.
