Torino head coach Ivan Juric believes that his team managed the negate Inter’s strengths successfully despite losing 1-0 in this evening’s Serie A clash.

Speaking in a press conference after the match, as reported by FCInterNews, the Croatian tactician gave his immediate reaction and stated that he was happy with how his side dealt with an in-form Nerazzurri team.

Inter won their seventh game in succession to ensure at least a four point gap at the top of the table going into the winter break, but beating the Granata did not look as straightforward as some recent wins have.

Juric’s side looked proactive and aggressive, especially during the second half where the Nerazzurri looked rattled and unable to really impose their game on their opponents as they have been doing in recent matches.

After successive games in which the Nerazzurri have won 4-0 and 5-0 they had to settle for a solitary goal to get three points off of Juric’s men.

“We always seem to play well against the big sides, but then struggle to score,” the Croatian coach reflected.

“The performances are there, but while we manage to score against teams closer to out level, against the big teams we miss all our chances,” he went on.

“There is a need to improve the fluidity of the game in certain situations,” the coach added.

Of his impression of Inter, Jurics stated that “They’ve impressed me a lot in the past few games. Today, however, I thought that the guys did well to make them look less strong than they do when you watch them on television.”

“But this is a winning group that Antonio Conte created,” he added.
