Inter are now the clear favourites to win the Scudetto for the second season in a row after ending 2021 four points clear at the top of the table, according to a report in the Italian print media today.
As has been written by Corriere della Sera today, Simone Inzaghi’s side are the natural favourites to defend the crown after the wonderful form they have shown towards the end of 2021.
Inter made it seven Serie A wins in a row on Wednesday evening as they beat Torino 1-0 thanks to a first half goal from Dutch wing back Denzel Dumfries who has been in a rich vein of form.
The Nerazzurri now sit four points ahead of AC Milan and seven points ahead of Napoli who at one stage this season had the chance to go 10 points ahead of Inter.
The Torino match was highlighted as an example of how this Inter team can even win the more attritional games when not playing too well.
