Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni has spoken positively about the upcoming year for the Nerazzurri after a successful 2021, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking after the 1-0 win over Torino on Wednesday night to Sport Mediaset, via FCInternews, Alessandro Bastoni explained how 2021 has been a positive year for Inter and himself due to the Scudetto won under Antonio Conte and the EURO 2020 triumph that he was a part of in the summer with the Italian national team.

“Being a winter champion counts for little if you don’t get to the end. It was a fantastic year: Scudetto, Euro 2020. We broke Juve’s dominance that had lasted for a long time.”

In something of a rallying cry to both the Inter fans and his teammates, Alessandro Bastoni then made t clear that he wants to have even more success in 2022 which would presumably look like another Scudetto and an extended run in the Champions League for Inter.

“We don’t want to stop and we’ll make 2022 even better.”

Alessandro Bastoni has cemented his place as a key starting defender in Simone Inzaghi’s Inter side alongside Milan Skriniar and Stefan de Vrij at the back.
