Italian journalist Paolo Condo has claimed that the fixture list for Inter in January and February will be an important test for the team’s Scudetto credentials, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by FCInternews, Italian journalist Paolo Condo has highlighted the importance of Inter’s run of difficult fixtures once the team returns from their winter break over Christmas.

Inter will be facing the likes of AC Milan, Atalanta, AS Roma, Juventus and Liverpool in various competitions over January and February.

That is clearly when Paolo Condo feels that Inter’s title credentials will be given a really important test, saying: “It has already been said several times that the asymmetrical calendar will propose to Inzaghi’s team, between January and mid-February, most of the difficulties.

“It will be an important test in terms of the Scudetto.”

That being said, the journalist clearly feels that the points tally of 46 that Inter have already amassed this season simply has to make them the overwhelming favourites to win the Scudetto again this season.

“If 46 points at the halfway point are not worth a championship guarantee, they are one of those clues on which Agatha Christie built Poirot’s fortunes. Inter have accumulated the points in two ways: gradually first, as a driver who before driving the taxi checks that all the right lights are on, and then all of a sudden – bam! – seven straight wins scoring a lot of goals with a lot of different players.”

Inter are four points ahead of AC Milan at Christmas and seven ahead of Napoli.
