Simone Inzaghi’s patience and careful handling of Denzel Dumfries has led the dutch defender to find a positive patch of form, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Tuttosport today, the Inter coach showed that he is good at managing individuals within a big and complex squad by allowing Denzel Dumfries to find his feet at Inter before deciding if he is really good enough or not.

The Dutchman arrived towards the end of the summer transfer window from PSV Eindhoven and was tipped to be Achraf Hakimi’s direct replacement. His lack of a pre-season and the move to a new country meant he struggled to hold down the position.

Simone Inzaghi has been careful with the amount of game time he has given the defender and now he has scored three goals in the last four games and has made the position his own.
