Italian referee Marco Guida has been largely praised for his handling of the 1-0 win over Torino that Inter enjoyed on Wednesday evening, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport when evaluating the performances of the referee, it was a quiet match that did not involve any major decision making that could use either side.

The only clear mistake was the decision not to issue a yellow card to Torino midfielder Rolando Mandragora during the match at San Siro under the lights.

Marco Guida is a referee that is often admired for the way in which he will happily have a conversation with players on the pitch regarding his decision rather than just making them leave him alone.

Inter won the game 1-0 thanks to a first half goal from Denzel Dumfries who has now scored three goals in his last four games.
