The statistics from Inter’s 2021/22 season so far show the immense progress that has been made in such a short time under Simone Inzaghi’s leadership, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, Inter have got five more points at the halfway point in the season this year than they did last season under Antonio Conte.

They also have one more point than the team did under Jose Mourinho during the treble winning season. Only Roberto Mancini in 2006/07 and 2007/08 registered a higher points total at the halfway point.

Inter have scored 49 goals in Serie A this season which is a figure only Atalanta could match having achieved the same in the 2019/20 season.

A record that has been broken by this Inter team is that they are the first ever Nerazzurri side to win six matches in a row without conceding a single goal. They have scored 17 in those six games without reply.
