Inter striker Edin Dzeko has already outperformed his scoring figures for the 2010/21 season despite only playing 18 games this season, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by the official Twitter account of Inter, Edin Dzeko has now scored eight goals and registered three assists in 18 Serie A matches for the Nerazzurri this season.

That means that he has already surpassed the figures he posted in 27 games during his final campaign as an AS Roma player in 2020/21.

This exhibits quite how good a signing the Bosnian forward has been for Inter given many feared he would represent too significant a drop in quality when he was brought in to replace Romelu Lukaku who left for Chelsea in the summer.

The 35-year-old has been vital for Inter in the league and has also seemed to bring the best out of other players in the team such as Hakan Calhanoglu.
