Former Inter striker Giampaolo Pazzini has emphasised the tactical interests within the match between Inter and Torino on Wednesday night, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking whilst in the studios of DAZN, via FCInter1908, Giampaolo Pazzini talked about how Inter were able to manage the match once they took lead even though Torino are a team who press very intensely and can be difficult to play against.

He also pointed out that there was an interesting amount of individual duels all over the pitch during the match at San Siro.

“Inter were able to manage the match, especially in the first half. They lowered their centre of gravity and held up against Torino, who have always pressed all over the pitch. The Nerazzurri players were delighted to understand the importance of such a victory. It was a game full of duels.”

Inter won the match 1-0 thanks to a goal relatively early in the game from Denzel Dumfries who has now managed to score three goals in his past four Inter games after incurring a rough start this time at the club.

Despite the pressure that Ivan Juric’s Torino side were willing to put the Nerazzurri under, they could not find a way to equalise.
