Former Juventus midfielder Alessio Tacchinardi has admitted that the executives at Inter deserve a lot of praise for their actions in the summer surrounding the financial situation and the appointment of Simone Inzaghi, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking whilst at an event, via FCInternews, Alessio Tacchinardi explained that the club did extremely well to bounce back from the disappointment of Antonio Conte leaving the club by swiftly appointing the talented Simone Inzaghi in his place.

“You have to give credit to the reactivity of the company and the talent of Simone Inzaghi. He was already 5 years in and playing well with Lazio. Even today against Torino, the Nerazzurri did well against a great opponent for physicality and compactness.”

Antonio Conte left the club in the summer after the extent of the club’s financial condition became clear. He did not want to work under such conditions so the club had to swoop in to take Simone Inzaghi from Lazio, where he was about to sign a new contract.

Inter have now managed to qualify for the latter stages of the Champions League and are four points clear at the top of Serie A.
