Inter defender Federico Dimarco has had his Inter salary more than doubled as part of the new contract he officially signed on Thursday afternoon, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport today, the Italian full back will be thrilled with the way that the club have rewarded him for his increased importance to the team over the past few months under Simone Inzaghi.

He was previously earning €600,000 per season with the Nerazzurri which is a deal that was signed when he was still quite far from being a first team regular for Inter.

The new contract puts his salary at €1.6 million per season as well as some additional bonuses. The wage figure will also grow slightly as the contract matures, which runs until 2026.

As a player who has graduated from the Inter academy, it is very special to Federico Dimarco that he has been able to sign this deal.
