Inter Defender Alessandro Bastoni: “We’re Sorry To Stop Because We Are Doing Well”

Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni has revealed he is not happy to stop for the winter break as Iner are performing very well right now, according to a report in the Italian media today.
Speaking during an interview with Sport Mediaset, via FCInternews, the Italian defender explained that the excellent form Inter are in right now means they are sorry that they have to stop playing until after Christmas.
“On the one hand, we’re sorry because we were doing well, having found the right mechanisms, after such difficult years between Covid and games played every three days is good.”
In terms of the player’s personal aims for 2022 in football, Alessandro Bastoni claims he wants similar achievements to what he did in 2021.
The defender was part of the Italy squad that won the UEFA European Championships in the summer under Roberto Mancini and also played a key role in helping Inter to win the Scudetto under Antonio Conte.
“To be able to do what I did in 2021, add trophies to my bulletin board and not stop either with Inter or with Italy.”
Alessandro Bastoni signed a new contract in recent months with the Nerazzurri which shows he has no immediate interest in moving to another team.
