Inter defender Federico Dimarco has expressed his happiness at having signed a new contract with the Nerazzurri on Thursday, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been written on the social media channels of the player, via FCInternews, Federico Dimarco was thrilled to put pen to paper on a new deal that will keep him at the club until 2026 at least.

The young Italian was also keen to thank the fans for the continued support they have shown him on his journey to becoming a first team regular at Inter having graduated from the academy in recent years.

“Happy to have renewed the contract with the colours of my heart! A special thanks to the club for the trust, to my teammates and to the fans who show me great affection every day.”

Federico Dimarco spent 18 months on loan at Hellas Verona working under Ivan Juric and that made him a significantly more mature and positionally aware footballer.

Since returning to Inter he has shown to Simone Inzaghi that he can be a part of the squad and can be effective in more than one position.
