Inter and Croatian winger Ivan Perisic have yet to enter an official negotiation regarding an extension of his contract with the club, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport, Ivan Perisic is currently being paid €5 million per season at the club but despite the fact he will soon be turning 33-years-old, he would like that figure to be increased to €6 million.

With his deal running out in June 2022, it is a case of finding a way for the player to lower his demands or let him leave for free and join a new team.

It is reported that in February there will be some more genuine discussion to see if a balance can be struck between the two parties involved.

Premier League side Newcastle United would be willing to pay Ivan Perisic the sort of wage he demands but he does not necessarily want to play at that level.
