Italian journalist Massimo Marianella has shown how much he is enjoying watching Inter this season and how he admires the executive exploits of the summer, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking whilst on Sky Sport recently, via FCInternews, the Italian journalist was quick to exclaim what he thinks of Inter this season under Simone Inzaghi, who have ended 2021 four points ahead of AC Milan at the top of the table.

“Inter seem perfect because they are a beautiful team. It must be recognized that they have done something extraordinary at all levels: on the pitch, on the bench and in society.”

The focus then turned towards the difficult situation in the summer that saw Antonio Conte, Achraf Hakimi and Romelu Lukaku all leave the club with seemingly inadequate replacements coming in to try and defend the Serie A crown.

Massimo Marianella was clearly deeply impressed by the fact that the executives at the club such as sporting CEO Beppe Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio have managed to still build a squad capable of perhaps winning the Scudetto again.

“The premises were very different: everyone was there ready to say that Inter had lost three very important players, that they had lost one of the best coaches on the planet and that they had very pressing economic needs.

“They built a team winning almost as certainly as beautiful and practical. The numbers are clear. Inzaghi must be proud of his attack, but also of the defence and how this team plays, enhancing and revitalizing some players.

“Above all there is the company, capable of changing technical management and players without making the team suffer, even putting money in the coffers. Truly extraordinary work.”
