Inter defender Aleksandar Kolarov could be allowed to leave the club in January, but likely only if a left-sided player to back up Ivan Perisic is signed.
This according to Italian news outlet L’Interista, who report that the 36-year-old is attracting the interest of a number of clubs but that he would likely only depart in the event that a left-sided reinforcement arrives,
Kolarov has largely been on the fringes of the team this season, and he could leave in search of more regular playing time, with Cagliari and Hellas Verona both monitoring the player’s situation with a view to potentially giving him a starting spot.
However, for the time being the Serb is still a part of the Nerazzurri’s depth on the left side of the defense, with he and Federico Dimarco the only two players who can back up either Perisic or Alessandro Bastoni.
However, the Nerazzurri are monitoring possible signings to deputize for Perisic, and should one be brought in then they would not stand in the way of Kolarov leaving.
