The string of clean sheets that Inter have recorded in recent weeks is the longest out of anyone in the top five European leagues, according to a report in the Italian print media.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport, Inter have now won six games in a row where the opposition have failed to find the back of the net.

This is a record for the club as a whole in its long illustrious history, but it is also the current longest streak in Europe.

Premier League Champions Manchester City are the team closest behind who managed a streak of five wins with a clean sheet in every game.

The stats are not all entirely in Inter’s favour though as despite now being seven points behind Inter, Napoli actually have one more Serie A clean sheet than them. This shows the way that Inter’s defence has drastically improved in recent weeks.
