Italian agent Franco Vanni believes that renewing the contract of Stefan de Vrij will be the next order of business for Inter after they deal with the situations of Marcelo Brozovic and Ivan Perisic.

Speaking to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.it, the agent provided updates on the Nerazzurri’s plans for January and suggested that de Vrij is the next priority after the Croatian duo.

Finding an agreement with Brozovic on a new deal has been one of the main priorities for Inter for some time, with the 29-year-old a key player in the team and seeing his current contract expire at the end of June 2022.

Meanwhile, Perisic’s form this season has meant that the club have begun to move towards trying to renew with him beyond next summer when his deal runs out.

Both of these players are the most imminent priorities for the Nerazzurri given that they are less than a year away from their current deals expiring, but after them the club will turn to de Vrij whose current deal expires at the end of June 2023.

“He will become a priority once the situations of Brozovic and Perisic are clarified,” Vanni explained of the Dutchman.

He went on that “The fact that Mino Raiola is not talking about it is positive. Inter will do everything to keep their key players.”

Of the Nerazzurri’s January plans he stated that “Signings could be made if Sanchez departs. Everything will depend, however, on the player himself.”

“He seems more enthusiastic than he had recently,” Vanni added.

“I still wonder where Inter can strengthen,” he went on. “On the surface this seems a perfect team, you could probably bring in a central defender given Kolarov’s situation, but it is difficult to understand where they are lacking.”

He added that “Inter are focused on the renewals of Brozovic and Perisic. If anyone leaves, they will move.”
