Inter are looking to bring in Sassuolo duo Davide Frattesi and Gianluca Scamacca for next summer.

This according to Italian journalist Niccolo Ceccarini, who reported in his column for TuttoMercatoWeb that the Neroverdi midfielder and striker are key targets for Inter in the summer transfer window.

The Nerazzurri are looking to the future, with a number of players either on the way out or likely to leave the club within the next few transfer windows, especially in midfield and attack.

In both positions, the team could look to focus on young Italian players as options for the future, with both Frattesi and Scamacca’s form having marked them out as long-term targets to reinforce the squad for the future.

Neither player would likely be moved for in the January transfer window, but the Nerazzurri are continuing to monitor the pair with a view to a move next June.

Ceccarini explains that “The focus is on next summer” for Inter.

“The Nerazzurri have secured a signing that has been in the air for some time,” he said of Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana. “In fact, Onana will arrive at the end of this season. The Ajax goalkeeper will sign a four-year contract.”

“Also in the Nerazzurri’s plans are a midfielder and a forward, both with a view to players with potential for growth,” he added. “The names in their sights are those of Frattesi and Scamacca.”
